Sequoia Labs (the “Company”) treats the personal information of users of AI Detectors (aidetectors.cc) as important and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws.
1. Personal information we collect
- Members (when signing in): email address, profile name (provided through Google OAuth)
- At payment: payment details are handled by the payment gateway PayApp; the Company does not store sensitive payment data such as card numbers.
- Collected automatically: service usage records, access logs, device and browser information, cookies (for analytics and session maintenance)
- Submitted text: text entered for detection or editing (not retained or used for training beyond the purpose of processing)
2. Purposes of use
- Providing the Service (AI detection and editing), identifying members and managing credits
- Responding to customer enquiries, improving the Service and analysing usage statistics
- Preventing misuse and maintaining security
3. Outsourced processing and third parties
The Company may entrust processing to the following providers in order to operate the Service.
- PayApp — payment processing
- Resend — sending and receiving email
- Vercel, Neon — hosting and database
- DeepSeek — AI refining, summarising and editing
- Google (Vertex AI) — assisting AI refining, and plagiarism checking (web comparison)
4. Retention and use period
Personal information collected is destroyed without delay once the purpose of use has been achieved or when a member closes their account. Where retention is required by applicable law, however, it is kept for the relevant period.
5. Rights of the data subject
You can delete your account yourself. Pressing “Close account” at the bottom of the My Account page immediately deletes your account and your usage records. No separate request and no waiting period is needed.
Payment records, however, cannot be destroyed immediately, because the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of the Republic of Korea requires them to be retained. In that case only information that identifies an individual, such as an email address, is erased immediately, and the records are destroyed once the statutory retention period has passed.

6. Cookies
The Service uses cookies to maintain sessions and to compile usage statistics. You can refuse the storage of cookies through your browser settings, but some functions may then be limited.
